Holiday House London - an Interior Design extravaganza

Holiday House London

It would be remiss of us not to acknowledge this superb event for two reasons. Firstly, Nicky Haslam is a contributing designer in partnership with Studio QD. Secondly Paint the Town Green has snuck in there too! Karen Morris from the Finished Effect company was planning to use our Nicky Haslam colours for a special paint effects feature. We’ve not yet had seen it but we hope to make it to the Holiday House ourselves before it closes!

For those who attended the talk at Decorex, you will know that Holiday House London has made its way over here from New York. Founded in 2008 by interior designer and breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner, it provides top interior designers and lifestyle brands an opportunity to showcase their talents and raise funds for the prevention and cure of breast cancer. Partners with the BCRF, 91 cents of every dollar from Holiday House goes towards advancing the world’s most ground-breaking research.

Holiday House London along with the 10th NYC show at the Academy Mansion and the launch of a coffee table book documenting the event’s history ‘Holiday House: Ten Years of Decorating for a Cure’ also marks Dankner’s 20 years breast cancer free. The ‘showhouse’, a tradition in the US for 50 years, is being introduced here in the UK to give design lovers a chance to experience firsthand, in one of the most exclusive streets in London, the design works from renowned names in interior design. Full of drama, luxury and beauty, guest designers have transformed each room, inspired by past holidays or personal experiences.
